"What's Your Story?" Continues!

Whats your story? Whether you have just met Jesus or have known him for a long time, you have a story to tell. It's your story of redemption that often opens up your friend's ears to hear about what Jesus can do in them. This is "What's Your Story? Month" on emergenetwork.org. The project: If you've got a video camera, great! If not, then just type it out, but take some time this week to post your story of how you came to know Jesus. In a short, but meaningful response, answer these two questions, "Where did Jesus find you?" and "What happened in your life after he did?" It was on a wednesday fellowship in my aunty's house. The schools were on holiday and i was visiting as always in Meru, a town in eastern Kenya. I was acustomed to prayer and worship in the house but i had a deep rebellion in me, at the age of 11, having grown up an only child of one parent.
That evening i was drifting thru the fellowship as usual but as they cam eto and end, they sang a song, prayed for one girl and as they finished, i came to the middle of the circle and knelt down.
Something was melting my heart and i couldnt explain or stop crying.I said i was to give my life to Jesus! funny since no one had made an alter call.
...and i did, the tears flowed on even much later, and i have never looked back. I always say, he touched my heart in a way no one else has, i just was moved by his love for me, i wasnt scared by hell or danger to give my life to him, its his love that drew me to him.
Since then i have had a frienship relationship with Him. I am turning 28 next month and this is a decision that i have never regreted making. He saw me thru the tough teenage years, through my high school wonderful exeprience, through the days of indecision after school and through my early days of Marriage.
I know in him is light and life to all mankind, and ive given him my life laid down the way he gave me his.
Jesus is my anchor,the lover of my soul and my eternal friend.
