Thank you for the wonderful posts. Anyway, I'm not really sure how gambling works from other countries. That's stated only here in the Philippines.

If I ask you, what would be a good question that can catch the attention of other readers?-thanks:)

well, this topic is a good start. any relative or controversial will do.
or you could ask questions that talks about spirituality 'coz we have a lot of members here who are leaders of a church. ^__^

my answer to this is yes, it is bad to bet on lotto.
first of all, your robbing God for His sovereignty and His provision
especially if you-me are His children. your robbing yourself too of working hard & responsibility. this is everyone's temptation, 'fast money'
and i can picture this like using the robin hood story as an excuse, that you steal
for the 'greater good' to help the poor and the needy.
and i think it's obvious that this is considered as gambling & gambling is a sin right?

I will agree with what lit said.Legalized gambling is still gambling.Putting your faith in chance is not a good testimony. No matter how many lives lotto has help.Charity is no excuse.I sometimes question some church members because of this. Now, here's the question for you,Zechael. Why did you post this forum?Have you been struggling with lotto personally?

Why did you post this forum?

To aware like you that gambling is still gambling and putting such faith is not a good testimony, also to help others who are now in this situation. How such so could "Christian" ask help in PCSO (Sweepstakes)/Lotto especially in times of calamities? Do we have so called "Christian" offer such things like as they offer? Hope you consider this matter.

Have you been struggling with lotto personally?

I know the number they used but I did not used it for gambling:)

Does this make you a good steward of God's money?

alam ko po kase...masama...di ba po sugal yun?

Uu nga masama yun, pero alam naman ng mga tumataya na masama diba? Paano kaya nila nasisikmura na ang kanilang napapanalunan ay galing sa masama?

For me, gambling is not a sin. But the negative consequences of it is.

Do i gamble? Yes, for fun. I went to a casino, played the slot machine. I enjoyed it immensely. But had to control myself not to get addicted or else i would lose all my hard earned money.

Would i do a lotto? Probably will. But i have not tried it once. It's boring. In lotto the chances of winning is slim. Slot machine has more chances.
