A small church in the island of Syquijor
This church needs prayer covering. The people in this island believe in witchcraft, sorcery, the manananggal (winged, half-bodied vampires), the aswang (blood-sucking monsters disguised as humans), the kapre (tobacco-smoking giants) and the tikbalang (half-horse, half-human creatures). The pastora and her members are so poor but it does not stop them from praising God with a joyful noise and with music. Yes, they made their own instruments. It's not their music, it's not their instruments. It's their heart of worship. That's the most beautiful sound in all the earth.
They lift up the name of Jesus Christ. He is Lord. A tiny church like this experience true worship.....broken...spilled out...
Pray for this church.

Master, where do I go from here? You have mapped out my journey for 2009 and yet it's still unclear where the resources will come from. I am seated here in my bedroom still in a quandary. I need the ravens to supply me with my daily bread, I need the mannas to fall down from heaven. Where are they now? Honestly, I feel ambivalent. Two opposing forces are trying to pull me down. One is unbelief and the other is fear. I need You Lord. Lift me up, I can't go on this way, pretending that all is fine…

Qadosh literally means "to be set apart for a special purpose".
When we use the word holy, as in a holy person, we usually associate this with a righteous or pious person. If we use this concept when interpreting the word holy in the Hebrew Bible then we are misreading the text as this is not the meaning of the Hebrew word qadosh. Qadosh literally means "to be set apart for a special purpose". Israel was qadosh because they were separated by the other nations as servants of God…

The typhoon signal in Manila was up to signal #3. Frank was raging all over the Visayan region. Why am I stranded in Dumaguete? It is my mother's 86th birthday celebration and I can't make it to the party set on Saturday evening. My flight was in the morning and when it was announced in the p.a that Cebu Pacific flight to Manila was canceled, I immediately prayed : Lord, let me go home in the afternoon. You see, I expected God to grant me my request. I did Him the favor to speak in the conferenc…

One Sunday in April, when Brother Emil Reyes preached on reaching out to the lost souls where ever we are, God spoke to me so audibly during the altar call. He said,
"You will not get yourself a job. I AM your BUSINESS!" "Of course not," I argued in my spirit. "What about Sam's tuition fee, my car registration and insurance?"
"My grace is sufficient for you. You must do what My Son Jesus did: He went about to do the Father's business. I AM your business!"
Today, my car is register…

Thanks for the comment on the Reading of Psalm 23. Many times we tend to fall into that trap as well...
Blessings to you,
Robin
I pray that the Lord will continue to use you as an instrument in reaching other people who are yet to accept the Lord's gift of salvation and for you to reap blessings after blessings after blessings and after blessings. Godbless Tita Pretty :)
