Leadership Experience
leading a small group
About Me:
I surrendered to the Lord Sept. 3, 1984, and have since then been involved with several Christian groups and ministries, most extensively with Windsong Christian Music Ministries, Inc. My husband and I used to serve with the worship leading teams of Victory Ortigas, but have had to step down because of schedule conflicts.

My identity is Christian wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. As a worker, I am a musician, a music trainer for personal and ministry purposes (I can teach voice, note-reading, and I have written a curriculum for training singers for the worship-leading team), and lately, writer. I am currently grabbing all free training opportunities I can to improve and increase my skills to prepare for whatever the Lord will call our family to do next. This makes me grateful for the internet, because of all that it makes available to me.

And I am grateful for my husband, Irl, our two precious princesses, Jodie and Roni, our little prince David Rey who is overseeing our heavenly mansion, and all the people in my life who have believed in me, encouraged me, and yes, pushed me beyond what I thought were my limits closer to what my Maker has designed me to be.

I am most grateful for
my Heavenly Father who made me
my Lord Jesus who saved me
my Beloved Counselor who does everything else for, in and thru me

Soli Deo Gloria!

Try Thanksgiving

Some things pass through our minds, some stay. I don't remember the story I was told, but I do remember that somewhere in it, the main character was told to "try thanksgiving." I was in my early teens, of that I'm sure, because the storyteller was a great-aunt nun who managed a dorm that I lived in when I was 12-13.

I've done my best to make that true for myself, that I would always be grateful. Last November, I met Dr. Noah McKay at the launching of his book, Wellness at Warp Speed. One of the… Continue

A Witch's Invitation

I don't mind admitting I'm 40. I know I don't look it (older? bwahahahaha!!), and I certainly don't know how it's supposed to feel like. I still have my childhood preferences for cartoons and mystery books, and I'm around people who make me feel young: either because they're older than me, or because they don't believe I really am that much older!

Then we start talking songs, and they believe.

I have been sadly out of touch with the latest in the recording industry since I gave birth to my twi… Continue

Integrated

It's been a question for the past four and a half years that I have been struggling with, and the answers come, slowly. The latest installment was a rebuke. a scolding for trying to get things over with, instead of doing the right thing. The lawful thing.

This time, I get it. The best way to help is to not help --- to not save the other from the consequences of his decisions, to stop covering up for him. Although done with frustrated resignation, I realize now that the best thing I did was to s… Continue

On Stage and On Edge

The week of September 28 to October 3 was a memorable one.

It started with a text, then a chat. A text asking if my husband and I would be willing to lead worship on Gospel Jam for the last Sunday of September. We said yes.

We'd started to be a team in 1996. A pianist, Irl was the hired keyboardist of the church we were in then. He asked me to join the team as a back-up singer. Because of my background as a voice major and a former singing member of Windsong, I eventually ended up as worship l… Continue

Hi Ditas, welcome. I saw your interest in joining the Elijah/Forerunner group. I see that the Lord is truly doing something and is calling out forerunners to stand out in these last days. I am one of the moderators of that group as with my good friend Raffy Gascon who is the starter of the group. Welsome once again. If you have any questions you may email me at brian.kairuz@gmail.com. God bless you!
